Firefox for Android extension store is now live

Mozilla has launched the Firefox for Android add-on website, prior to the public release of the extension support on smartphones. The public rollout is expected to happen on December 14, 2023. Firefox for Android will allow users to install any extension marked “Compatible with Android” on their mobile devices.

At launch, the Extension Store will have over 400 extensions available for Firefox mobile. Third-party developers have been working on them for the past three years. The company thanked them for their response and participation in the development of the browser.

At the same time, the company launched a new section on the Add-ons Mozilla portal, which contains all extensions compatible with mobile Firefox. Right now, users can get familiar with the list of available add-ons. The page includes some popular ones like Google Search Fix, uBlock Origin, AdGuard, Dark Reader, Web Archives, Bitwarden and much more.
