Microsoft has launched a new subscription option, Xbox Game Pass Standard. It replaces the Basic plan and costs $15 per month. Being announced back in July 2024, it offers a middle tier between Xbox Game Pass Core (the successor to Xbox Live Gold) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The new plan provides access to a vast library of games and includes multiplayer features on Xbox consoles. However, it does not include day-one game releases, the EA Play catalog, or Xbox Cloud Gaming.
The launch of Standard marked a change in the structure of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. The changes come ahead of the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in October 2024. Players now have four options to choose from.
Actual Xbox Game Pass subscriptions
- Xbox Game Pass Core: $9.99 per month, 25+ games, access to multiplayer on Xbox consoles, promotions and discounts.
- Xbox Game Pass Standard: $14.99 per month, hundreds of games, access to multiplayer on Xbox consoles, promotions and discounts.
- PC Game Pass:$11.99 per month, hundreds of games, new releases on release day, EA Play, promotions and discounts.
