Windows 11 Build 22635.3350 (KB5035955) lands in the Beta channel

A new Beta channel release, Windows 11 Build 22635.3350 (KB5035955), has become available to Insiders. It changes the logic behind the "recommended" section in Start, that now can show non-pinned apps. There are fixes, some of which are only available to insiders with the Settings > Windows Update > Get the latest updates as soon as they are available option enabled.

Updates for insiders with the option enabled

Fixes

  • Taskbar: Fixed an issue where ungrouped icons on the taskbar would have their title cut off instead of adapting the block to its length.

For all insiders

  • Start Menu: The Recommended section of the Start menu will now show your most frequently used app that isn't pinned to the Start menu or taskbar. This change is currently in testing.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue in File Explorer where hovering over the first image in the Gallery section would cause a tooltip to appear that could not be removed.
