Telegram Stories are now available, but currently not for everyone

Telegram 9.6.4 has been released, introducing support for Stories. It is a "disappearing story" post format. Users can create such a story by clicking the plus sign in the chat window.

The user interface allows for taking photos or recording videos, adding text, stickers, and drawings, and editing images with various parameters. You can also select the audience for their story and have the option to prohibit screenshots.

After publishing, you can view who has seen the story, make changes, or delete it.

Currently, the story feature is only available to users with a Telegram Premium subscription on iOS and Android. If you don't have a subscription, you only view and reply to the stories posted by your buddies.

Telegram first announced Stories last month, citing strong demand from app users to add them.
