Microsoft has released an update to the Microsoft Store app (version 22407.xxxx.x and higher) for Windows 11 that brings a redesigned Library, a new Updates & Downloads page, and a few other changes. The new version of the app is gradually coming to Windows 11 Insiders in the Dev and Canary channels.
Library UI update
Now, the Library section displays all products by default, even if they are not installed on the device. If necessary, you can return to the old filter at any time. A search bar has also been added, which allows you to quickly find the desired product by its name or publisher.
Taken together, these changes make it easier to find and manage your purchased apps and games.
New Downloads Page
Microsoft has moved the list of updates and downloads to a separate page. There you will find a list of active downloads, pending updates, and a history of recent installations and updates. In addition, pending updates and active downloads will display release notes.
The company encourages developers to update the "What's New" section of their apps to keep users up to date with the latest changes.
Time-limited offers
Microsoft is experimenting with a new section on the Games page, currently available in some regions, that will feature select partners and their in-game events that will run during a test period.
New Microsoft Store badge
The Microsoft Store badge/button now includes a clearer call to action to help engage more users. Such buttons can be integrated with any website, and can be created on the badge creator page.
If you already have an icon on your site, it will update automatically. Otherwise, you can generate a new icon on the Create an app icon page .
