Microsoft has added an extra option to leave the Windows 11 Beta channel

Insiders who run Windows 11 on the Beta channel, builds 22621.1325 and 22623.1325 can leave it until March 8, 2023. Microsoft has add a special option, which is currently being tested on some devices and will be open to everyone on Monday (February 27th).

Since the Insider builds are different from what users have in the stable branch, it is not that easy to leave them without reinstalling. The updates the channels receive are not compatible with one another.

Based on users' feedback, Microsoft has implemented an addition to leave the Beta channel right now. You must do it before receiving a newer patch, i.e. you have time before March 8, 2023. While you on builds 22621.1325 and 22623.1325, open Settings, navigate to Windows Update > Windows Insider Program. There, turn on the option "Stop getting preview builds”.

According to the updated blog post, this will run a special troubleshooter that removes the enablement package and unenrolls the device from the Insider Program. Once you reboot the device, it will no longer receive new Insider Preview builds from the Beta channel.

In March 2023, unenrolled devices with receive cumulative updates from the stable branch.
