Microsoft has updated the ISO images for Windows 11 23H2. The new files come with a number of fixes made to the OS, including the printer renaming issue, and resolved bug that prevented Narrator from work during the setup.
The list of the resolved issues on the official website now states.
Resolution: Starting December 19, 2023, a new file is available to create an installation media to update to Windows 11, version 23H2. The new media does not encounter this issue and contains the December 2023 security update. It is available for download at the Software Download page for Windows 11 in the section “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) for x64 devices”. Guidance on installation can also be found at this site.
Earlier in November, Microsoft confirmed a Narrator issue with the Windows 11 version 23H2. The accessibility tool may fail to work. It could open in an unresponsive state when initialized using any method, including the Ctrl + Windows key + Enter shortcut, and the icon in the setup UI. This was the first issue in the then-newly released 23H2.
Besides the Narrator, the updated ISO images include a fix for infamous printer issue. Affected users saw their printers renamed to a HP device, and got the appropriate software automatically installed.
So now you can download the new bug-free media and use it for clean install. It can be of help if you have a printer, or need to use Narrator.
