Here’s the new Bloom wallpaper made for Copilot+ Surface devices

During its Surface even, Microsoft introduced a new desktop wallpaper. This is another version of the Bloom wallpaper, which color scheme resembles the Copilot logo. It makes a special emphasis on AI-powered features which are part of the Copilot+ wave of devices.

Here's how it looks.

Microsoft's newly announced Surface Pro and Surface Laptop have it as the default desktop background.

The Redmond firm was hosting a major event on May 20, 2024, where it introduced several new AI capabilities which will be exclusive to devices with NPU. The company also revealed a new generation of computers powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X Series processors. Its updated ARM64 platform boasts with all-day battery life, enhanced AI capabilities with integrated NPU, and incredible performance that can beat existing solution on the market. These devices will come pre-loaded with Windows 11 24H2, as well as with a new version of the Bloom wallpaper.

While the Bloom wallpaper remains the same in design, the new variant incorporates color patterns inspired by the Copilot icon, giving the wallpaper a more vibrant look.  You can download the images here:

The zip archive includes both dark and light variants.

The new Bloom wallpaper expands the existing set of desktop background that, besides the stock ones, include Windows 365 wallpapers and a set of images that were preloaded on Microsoft Surface Duo 2 , Windows Server, and Surface Pro 10 for Business.

To set the new wallpaper,

  1. Go to Settings > Personalization > Background,
  2. Choose the "Picture" option under "Personalize your background,"
  3. Click the "Browse Photos" button to select the images you have downloaded as your desktop background.
