A small update has landed on the Canary branch of Microsoft Edge Chromium. Starting with build 76.0.162.0, the browser features a new menu entry that allows the user to quickly exit the browser.
As you may already know, Microsoft Edge, the default web browser of Windows 10, is moving to a Chromium-compatible web engine in the Desktop version. Microsoft explains that the intention behind this move is to create better web compatibility for customers and less fragmentation for web developers. Microsoft has already made a number of contributions to the Chromium project, helping to port the project to Windows on ARM. The company promises to contribute more to the Chromium project.
I have already many Edge tricks and features in the following post:
Hands-on with the new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge
Starting with the build 76.0.162.0, the main menu of the Chromium-based Edge includes a new 'Close Microsoft Edge' command that terminates the browser and closes all the active tabs.
This change is very minor, but it is interesting to see the changes that Microsoft implements in the browser.
At the moment of this writing, Edge versions are as follows:
Microsoft Edge Beta 75.0.139.15
Microsoft Edge Dev 76.0.159.0
Microsoft Edge Canary 76.0.162.0

The browser installs updates automatically. Also, you can manually check for updates by visiting the menu Help > About Microsoft Edge. Finally, you can grab the Edge installer from the following page:

Great! I actually wrote feedback requesting this. The button itself may be a minor feature, but its purpose is not. This button is essential if you wish that the browser would re-open all previously open Windows. If you close windows via “X”, then only the last closed window will be opened. Not being able to re-open all windows is a deal-breaker to me.
Yep, looks like an important addition.
