Windows Server Preview Build 18282

Microsoft today released a new Insider Preview of Windows Server.  It is the first Insider build of the Windows Server VNext Semi-Annual Channel release.

The official announcement comes with the following change log.

New Content

  • Windows Server vNext Semi-Annual Preview The Server Core Edition is available in the 18 supported Server languages in ISO format and in English only in VHDX format.  
  • Server Core App Compatibility FoD Preview 

 

Symbols are available on the public symbol server – see Update on Microsoft’s Symbol Server blog post and Using the Microsoft Symbol Server. Matching Windows Server container images will be available via Docker Hub. For more information about Windows Server containers and Insider builds, click here.   

Activation keys for preview releases are not yet available for activating Server Core operating systems from the Semi-Annual Channel (SAC). You may skip the activation key during setup and still have a fully functional build to test with. We will provide test activation keys in future builds. 

 

This build will expire December 14th, 2018.

  1. Windows 10 crapware updates/deatures arriving on all Microsoft products. It will be interesting to see how many servers go down because of the botched updates.
