Microsoft has announced the start of sales of a mini PC called Windows Dev Box 2023. Formerly known as “Project Voltera”, it will help developers with creating AI powered apps for the ARM platform. The price of the device is $599.
Microsoft first announced this device at the Build 2022 event along with a native version of VS 2022 for ARM64. All these tools aim to make it easier to create apps for ARM devices. The Redmond company tries to bring up everything the developer needs to work with the open hardware ecosystem.
The company also confirmed that Windows Dev Box 2023 will feature a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 processor, 32GB LPDDR4x RAM, a 512GB SSD, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports.
Windows Dev Kit 2023 is available today in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, the UK, and the US for $599. Microsoft promises to share more information about the device as part of the Arm Dev Summit, which will take place this week.
