What's new in Windows 11 Build 27729 (Canary)
Snipping Tool Update
A new version of the Snipping Tool (version 11.2409.23.0 and above) is available to Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels, bringing with it a new Copy as Table feature.
The existing text functions, such as copying text from an image and redacting sensitive information, have been supplemented with the Copy as Table option. This allows you to easily copy structured table data into an email, document, or spreadsheet. To do this, take a screenshot of the table, select Text Actions, and then Copy as Table. Now you can paste the structured table data where you want.
Note: The current version of the feature works best with screenshots that contain only one table.

The setting is available in Settings > Personalization > Typing. If the keyboard connected to the computer does not have a Copilot key, changing this setting will not lead to any changes.

Known issues
General
- [Important note for Copilot+ devices] If you are upgrading to the Canary channel from the Dev, Release Preview, or Stable channels on a Copilot+ device, you will encounter an issue using your PIN or biometrics when attempting to sign in. You will see the error "Something went wrong, your PIN is not available" with the code 0xd0000225. To reset your PIN, click the "Set up PIN" button.
- Investigating reports that some Insiders are still experiencing a rollback to a previous build with error code 0xc190010 when attempting to update to the latest Canary build.
- [Updated] Some devices with older NVIDIA graphics cards (e.g. GTX 970, Quadro K620, etc.) may experience issues including black screens, system freezes, and errors in Device Manager. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. If you’re experiencing this issue and can’t use your PC, boot into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), roll back to the previous build, and pause updates in Windows Update until the next build with the fix for this issue arrives. If you paused updates last week, you’ll need to do so again to avoid installing Build 27729.
- [New] Working on a fix for an issue causing some Insiders to experience a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA GSOD starting with Build 27723.
Input
