Windows 11 Build 26120.3291 (KB5052080) is now available to Insiders in the Dev and Beta channels. The release includes and improved Windows Search that supports natural language to find objects in images. The updated Snipping Tool includes the option to trim video recordings. Insiders in the Beta channel are receiving the same Windows 11 version 24H2 builds that are released to the Dev channel. The updates are currently optional, so you can choose the right time to upgrade to the new OS version.

New features
Snipping Tool Update
Microsoft has started rolling out an updated version of the Snipping Tool (version 11.2501.7.0) to Insiders in the Dev and Canary channels. The new version adds the ability to change the length of a recorded video by changing the start and end time of the video. This allows you to quickly remove unnecessary fragments from a video.
To try out the feature, make a new screen recording using the Snipping Tool. Then open it in the Snipping Tool app and tap the new Trim button at the top of the window to enter editing mode. Use the handles to define a new start and end time for the video. Tap Apply to save your changes. You can re-enter editing mode to undo or adjust any trimmed portions.
Improved Windows Search
You can now find photos stored in the cloud using improved Windows Search in the search box on the taskbar. Use natural language queries in the search bar at the top right of File Explorer to find photos in the cloud by describing what they contain, such as "European castles" or "summer picnics."
Additionally, now photos from the cloud will be displayed in search results along with images saved on your local computer. Also in the results you will find exact matches for your keywords in the text of your cloud files.
The feature only works with personal OneDrive cloud storage. To try out the improved search, you need to sign in to a Microsoft account and have an active Internet connection. If you sign in to OneDrive with a work or school account (Entra ID), then in the search results you will only see matches by keywords in the texts of cloud files. Third-party cloud storage will also be able to implement support for improved Windows search, documentation is promised to be published later.
Improved search features will gradually roll out to Windows Insiders on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs. Support for AMD and Intel-powered Copilot+ PCs will be coming soon.
