Windows 11 Build 26120.2705 (Dev) adds Live captions and real-time translation to Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel and AMD hardware. There are also several fixes and improvements.
New Features for Copilot+ PCs with AMD and Intel Processors
Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel using Copilot+ on PCs with AMD or Intel processors will have access to new features like Recall. To ensure that these features work properly, you need to install the latest drivers via Windows Update. Make sure that the option "Get the latest updates when they’re available" is enabled in Settings > Windows Update. Click the "Check for updates" button and install any drivers that are offered.
You can also download the latest drivers directly from the manufacturer's website:
- The latest version of the AMD graphics driver for the Ryzen chipset.
- The latest version of the Intel NPU driver for Intel® Core™ Ultra 200 series processors.
Live Captions and real-time translation
Microsoft has added support for live captions and real-time translation for Copilot+ PC devices based on AMD and Intel processors. Currently, it supports translation of captions from more than 44 languages into English. You can translate both speech of video conference participants and recorded videos and streaming content.
Real-time subtitle translation is available on Copilot+ PC devices with AMD and Intel processors only if English is selected as the primary system language.
Be sure to review the list of known issues described below.

Changes and improvements

-
- Copilot+ PC devices with Snapdragon processors now support real-time subtitle translation into Chinese (Simplified). Known issues
General
-
- After resetting the system settings in Settings > System > Recovery, the build number may change to 26100 instead of 26120. This will not affect receiving future updates on the Dev channel, which will fix the issue.
Recall
-
- Recall can be enabled or disabled in the "Turn Windows features on or off" section. At the moment, Recall files remain on the disk even after the feature is disabled. In future updates, these files will be completely removed from the system.
- If you see the message "Make sure Recall is saving snapshots" even though snapshot saving is enabled in Settings, restart your device.
- Be sure to update your Microsoft 365 apps to the latest version so you can get back to certain documents.
Click to Do
-
- Sometimes intelligent text actions based on Phi Silica can provide unnecessary context.
- Intelligent text actions use the secure Microsoft cloud to improve the quality of results, ensuring the safety and appropriateness of suggestions and answers. This data is automatically deleted. In the future, we plan to introduce local moderation of suggestions and answers, which will replace the current cloud solution.
- The Click to Do feature sometimes fails to highlight information on the screen if there is no content on the connected external monitor running in extended desktop mode.
Live Captions and real-time translation
-
- Some Insiders may experience a crash when launching Live Captions for the first time. If you encounter this issue, simply restart Live Captions. The issue should not reoccur.
- If audio is playing or the microphone is on, switching languages will cause live subtitles to stop working. Stop playing audio when changing languages to resume subtitles or translations.
