After announcing the version number for the next major update, which is Windows 11 24H2, Microsoft silently revealed its marketing name. Windows 11 version 24H2 is now officially referred as Windows 11 2024 Update.
The new name made its first appearance on February 19 on Microsoft's website in the Flight Hub section. It is used by the company to list preliminary releases for Windows Insiders. The OS's marketing name was spotted by @XenoPanther on X.
The release of Windows 11 2024 Update is slated for the second half of the year. The focus will be on incorporating AI capabilities and bringing in fresh features and visual enhancements.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is working on a smaller update, "Moment 5", for Windows 11 23H2. It will bring a set of minor changes, and is planned to be released next week.
