Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 version 22H2 22621.457(KB5016695) to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview channel. The update brings with it many bug fixes and a few minor improvements.

- New! Enhanced capabilities of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to detect and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks.
- New! File compression now occurs regardless of file size if Server Message Block (SMB) Compression is configured.

- Fixed an issue that could cause Windows to display tablet mode features on non-touch devices.
- Fixed a problem that occurred when copying files from network drives. The error code is 0x80070026.
- Resolved an issue that could result in token leaks in the Local Security Authority Server Service (LSASS). This issue affects devices that have Windows Updates June 14, 2022 or later installed. The issue occurs when the device is running some form of service for the user (S4U) on a non-Trusted Computing Base (TCB) Windows service that runs as a Network Service.
- Fixed an issue where sihost.exe was consuming too much CPU in some cases.
- Resolved an issue resulting in Microsoft Edge becoming unresponsive when using IE mode. This issue also prevented interaction with dialog boxes.
- Microsoft has fixed an issue that caused a memory leak in the App-V client service when deleting App-V registry nodes.
- Fixed an issue where a URL could not be opened if it was longer than 2084 characters. The system now supports URLs up to 8192 characters long.
- Resolved an issue resulting in codecs not being updated through the Microsoft Store.
- Fixed an issue where ServerAssignedConfigurations was set to zero in some full configuration scenarios.
- Fixed an issue that sometimes caused snap region resizing operations to abort prematurely.
- Resolved an issue where, under certain circumstances, after resetting the device, installation of the Windows Hello for Business certificate could fail.
- Fixed an issue that prevented universal printers from being reinstalled after uninstalling them.
- Fixed an issue that prevented non-Windows devices from being authenticated. This issue occurs when users connect to Windows-based Remote Desktop and use a smart card for authentication.
- Microsoft has resolved an issue that caused the Settings app to stop working on server-side domain controllers (DCs) when accessing the Privacy -> Activity History page.
- Fixed an issue with looking up a non-existent security identifier (SID) within the local domain using a read-only domain controller (RODC). Search unexpectedly returns STATUS_TRUSTED_DOMAIN_FAILURE instead of STATUS_NONE_MAPPED or STATUS_SOME_MAPPED.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the Storage Migration Service (SMS) from completing inventory on servers with a large number of shares. The system logged an error event 2509 in the Microsoft-Windows-StorageMigrationService/Admin channel (ErrorId=-2146233088/ErrorMessage="Invalid table id").
- Fixed an issue affecting the Sync with Other Devices feature under System -> Clipboard. The option was not saved in the enabled state.
