The built-in Camera app in Windows 10 is bringing a new update for Insiders. A new version of the app is out with a couple of new features.

Windows 10 has a Store app (Universal Windows Platform) called "Camera". It provides a quick way to capture photos. Just point and shoot to take pictures automatically. The same camera experience is available across Windows 10 PCs, tablets, and phones. If your device comes with a built-in camera or you have connected a webcam, you can use the Camera app.

Camera 2019.222.10.0 features the ability to scan documents and whiteboards. Also, the app will automatically adjust rotation, cropping, and lighting to make text easier to read than it would be in a normal picture.

The updated Camera app is out to the Skip Ahead ring. Reportedly, the feature is in A/B testing right now, so only select Insiders are able to use it.

If you are a Windows Insider, you might be interested in visiting the app's page on the Store.

The functionality of document and whiteboard scanning can be found in other Microsoft products, such as OneNote and Office Lens. If you are out of luck with the Camera app, you can get the same feature with OneNote.
