Exclusive Beta channel features

Settings

Now, in the Settings > System > About section, you will see informative cards with key hardware parameters. To make it easier for you to figure it out, the developers have also added answers to frequently asked questions about the characteristics and their impact on performance to the page. All this will help you get the most out of your device.

Insiders who want to be the first to see the latest features gradually rolling out can turn on the "Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available" toggle in Settings -> Windows Update. This will enable more features over time. If you turn this option off, features will gradually roll out to your PC as they’re ready.

Features for both Beta and Release Preview Channels

Start Menu

This update begins rolling out a new account manager to the Start menu. If you're signed in with a Microsoft account, the new design lets you quickly see the benefits of your account. Switching to another profile requires opening the additional "..." menu next to the "Sign out" button. The "Lock" button is now in the power menu. Please note that this feature may not be available to all users as it is being rolled out gradually.

vmswitch

Fixed an issue where vmswitch would cause a BSOD. This occurs when you use Load Balancing and Failover (LBFO) teaming with two virtual switches in a virtual machine. In this case, one virtual switch uses Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV).

Upgrade to Windows 11

Fixed the 0x3B error code that you might encounter when upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Product activation

Added new activation phone numbers for a number of regions.

MFP

  • Fixed the problem with printing unnecessary text of network commands when connecting the MFP via USB.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the scanner driver from being installed when the MFP was connected via USB.

Country and Operator Settings Asset

Updated Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA) profiles for some mobile operators.

WebView2 apps

Fixed an issue where WebView2 applications would not recognize input from Xbox 360 and Bluetooth controllers.
