More promoted apps will come with Windows 10 Anniversary Update

New editions of Windows 10 are spotted in recently released builds

Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14328 is out

A new Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14328 for both PC and Mobile was just released for Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. While this release does not bring much for Mobile, it is a major release for PCs. Windows 10 build 14328 for PC comes with lots of new features and improvements including Windows Ink, updated Start, and more.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update will allow arranging Quick Action buttons with drag-n-drop

New information about Windows 10 Anniversary Update has appeared on the Internet. In internal builds of Windows 10, which are not released to Insiders yet, a new feature was spotted in the Action Center. Now the user can create his own customized layout for Quick Action buttons using just drag-n-drop.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update does not include classic Display settings

There is another change which Windows 10 Anniversary Update will bring to end users. As you might be knowing, in builds prior to the recently released 14316, you were able to open and use the classic Display applet, which allowed you to adjust the screen resolution and other display parameters. With Windows 10 Anniversary Update, all these settings will be accessible only through the Settings app.

Windows 10 build 14316 is out

A new build of Windows 10 Insider Preview is out. Participants of the Windows Insiders program can get Windows 10 build 14316 using the built in Windows Update service of the operating system. This build brings a big number of changes, including the Ubuntu Bash console demoed during the Build 2016.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update will get a Dark Theme

As you may already know, Windows 10 Anniversary Update, formerly known as the Redstone 1 update, is expected to be released this summer. It has come to our knowledge that Microsoft is going to include a Dark Theme for apps and settings with this Update. The dark theme is already possible in Windows 10 so our guess is that they will simply provide a user interface to enable it so you won't need any Registry hacks or apps to enable it.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update will get notification badges for Universal apps

As smartphones and social media became popular, notification badges to show you new messages became a de facto standard. In Windows 7, Microsoft added overlays for the taskbar so apps could convey anything with a smaller icon over the application's icon.

That overlay could show for example, unread message count for IM and email apps, or play/paused status for media players and similar such notifications for websites pinned to the taskbar using IE. With Windows 10 Anniversary Update, the same will be possible for Universal Apps.
