Tab Scrolling buttons in Google Chrome will appear on demand

You may be aware of the Tab Scrolling feature in Google Chrome. When enabled, it adds two buttons to the right if the last tab in the tab row, and doesn't shrink the tab width when you have many tabs opened. Those buttons were visible all the time, but now they will appear when only needed.

If you have many tabs open in Google Chrome, the tabs get smaller and smaller, but you can scroll them back and forth with the mouse wheel thanks to the tab scrolling feature. Also, I would like to mention that in Chrome Canary 90.0.4415.0, you can specify a minimal width that makes them more convenient when used with scrolling.

When the Tab Scrolling feature is enabled, the browser displays two extra buttons that allow you to go through the tab row back and forth. You can use the mouse wheel to scroll over the tab row.

With latest changes in Canary builds, Chrome will show the those buttons on demand. This means that when the tab bar is full of tabs, Chrome will add tab scroll buttons. This feature is a work in progress, and you can track its development here.

Another improvement that has been done to the Tab Scrolling feature is wider buttons. Now it is easier to click on them. Check out this image:
