This month, Surface Pro 7 receives quite a significant patch list with many quality improvements. Users get not only vague "performance improvements and security fixes" but more specific refinements for various areas, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, battery life, etc.

Bear in mind that this update does not apply to the recently released Surface Pro 7 Plus. Although this tablet carries a similar name, it has different internals and thus requires dedicated firmware updates.

April 2021 update for Surface Pro 7 is now available to all users with Windows 10 1903 or newer.

What is new in April 2021 firmware update for Surface Book 3

As for Surface Book 3, this exotic computer gets an almost identical batch of updates with an improved camera experience, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability improvements, and optimized battery consumption. Only the last three firmware updates are exclusive to Surface Pro 7. Other than that, the two devices share the same changelog this month.

Again, you can download these updates from Windows Update if your Surface Book runs Windows 10 1903 or newer. Considering that Microsoft no longer supports version 1903 and forces updates to a more recent release, users should not have issues with getting fresh patches for Surface PCs.
