Support for Android applications is definitely one of the most anticipated features of Windows 11. But we will not have it in the release version of the system, which will begin rolling out on October 5, 2021. Microsoft has announced this in its blog.
As a reminder, the partnership with the Amazon AppStore will allow Windows 11 users to find and install Android apps directly from the Microsoft Store. The apps will be launched using Windows Subsystem for Android, which adds a software compatibility layer like WSL does. A preview of the feature will be available to participants of the Windows Insider program in the coming months.
Thus, in the stable version of Windows 11, support for Android applications will not appear until 2022. It is currently unknown if Microsoft intends to add this feature in one of the updates for Windows 11 version 21H2, or if it will be part of a major feature update "22H2", scheduled for fall 2022.
