"The 'free upgrade to Windows 11' is not a limited-time offer, and Windows 11 remains a free upgrade on Windows 10 PCs," Microsoft explained.

Earlier, Microsoft advised Windows 10 PC users in its blog to upgrade to Windows 11 while it is free and only for a limited time. It is advisable to do this before the end of support for Windows 10 Home and Pro in October 2025.

Microsoft has now removed the page that mentioned the limited time upgrade to Windows 11. Microsoft has clarified that the blog post was a mistake made by the company's communications team.
