Microsoft has released a new set of updates, part of Patch Tuesday. They bring fixes and general improvements to Windows 11 (21H2 and 22H2) and Windows 10 (22H2, 21H2, and 1809). Here are the key changes.
June 2023 cumulative updates
Windows 11
- Windows 11, version 22H2, OS Build 22621.1848. KB5027231 | Manual download.
- Windows 11, version 21H2, OS Build 22000.2057. KB5027223 | Manual download.
These updates address a known issue that affect 32-bit apps that are large address aware and use the CopyFile API. You might have issues when you save, copy, or attach files. If you use some commercial or enterprise security software that uses extended file attributes, this issue will likely affect you. For Microsoft Office apps, this issue only affects the 32-bit versions. You might receive the error, "Document not saved."
The patches also fix a compatibility issue. The issue occurs because of unsupported use of the registry.
Finally, the updates address an issue that affects the Windows Kernel. This issue is related to CVE-2023-32019. To learn more, see KB5028407.
Windows 10
- Windows 10 2022 Update, version 22H2, OS Build 19045.3086. KB5027215 | Manual download.
- Windows 10 2022 November 2021 Update, version 21H2, OS Build 19044.3086. KB5027215 | Manual download.
