Microsoft has published a report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2023

The earnings report for Microsoft's third quarter of fiscal year 2023 is now available. During this period, the company generated $52.9 billion in revenue and $18.3 billion in net profit. To compare, in the same quarter of the previous year, the revenue was $49.4 billion and the net profit was $16.7 billion.

Microsoft's fiscal Q3 2023 results

The company's revenue for the quarter reached $52.9 billion, an increase of 7%. Microsoft's operating income for the quarter was $22.4 billion, up 10%, and net income was $18.3 billion, up 9%. The earnings per share (EPS) were $2.45, up 10%.

The Productivity and Business Process revenue increased by 11% to $17.5 billion, while the Intelligent Cloud revenue rose by 16% to $22.1 billion. However, the More Personal Computing revenue decreased by 9% to $13.3 billion.

Revenue from commercial Office products increased by 13%, and Office consumer product revenue rose by 1%. LinkedIn revenue grew by 17%, while income from Dynamics increased by 25%. Additionally, income from server products and cloud services increased by 17%, and Azure revenue rose by 27%.

On the other hand, Windows OEM revenue decreased by 28%, and Surface revenue declined by 30%. Revenue from commercial Windows products and cloud services increased by 14%, and the revenue of the gaming division grew by 3%. Furthermore, search advertising revenue increased by 10%.

The fiscal year starts on July 1 and ends on June 30.
