Microsoft has released new monthly cumulative updates for all supported operating systems. As usual, such updates do not bring with them any new features, but are aimed at fixing known bugs and eliminating vulnerabilities. Updates are already available in Windows Update.
Cumulative updates released for Windows 10 on September 14
- May 2021 Update (21H1) - KB5005565 (OS Build 19043.1237). The Microsoft Update Catalog link.

- November 2019 Update (1909) - KB5005031 (OS Build 18363.1801). The Microsoft Update Catalog link.
- October 2018 Update (1809) - KB5005568 (OS Build 17763.2183). The Microsoft Update Catalog link.
Windows 10, version 2004, 20H2, and 21H1 share the common code base and have identical system files. They receive the same cumulative updates.
The updates resolve one PowerShell issue.
What's new in cumulative updates released on September 14

Addresses an issue that causes PowerShell to create an infinite number of child directories. This issue occurs when you use the PowerShell Move-Item command to move a directory to one of its children. As a result, the volume fills up and the system stops responding.
