Change Feedback Frequency in Windows 10

In Windows 10, Microsoft collects performance and usage information. This information is known as telemetry data. According to Microsoft, it helps to improve product quality and resolve bugs and issues in the OS faster. The Feedback frequency option allows choosing how often you will be prompted to leave your feedback for features you use in Windows 10.

Windows Feedback is an application Microsoft added by default in Windows 10. It runs in the background and is responsible for feedback prompts and sends your feedback to Microsoft. Out of the box, it can ask a lot of questions about your satisfaction with the user interface and app changes Microsoft made in Windows 10.

To change the feedback frequency in Windows 10, do the following.

  2. Go to Privacy -> Diagnostics & feedback.

  4. Now you can close the Settings app.

Change the Feedback Frequency with a Registry tweak

  1. Open the Registry Editor app.
  2. Go to the following Registry key.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Siuf\Rules

  3. On the right, modify or create new values PeriodInNanoSeconds (QWORD) and NumberOfSIUFInPeriod (32-Bit DWORD).
    Note: Even if you are running 64-bit Windows you must still create a 32-bit DWORD value.
  4. Set their values according to the table below.
  5. Restart Windows 10.
