A petition asks Microsoft to extend support for Windows 10
The Public Interest Research Group (PIRG) has recently submitted a petition to Microsoft urging them to extend support for Windows 10. Currently, it is estimated that there are around 400 million PCs worldwide, out of a total of 1 billion, that are unable to run Windows 11 due to strict system requirements of the latter. These users will now face the dilemma of having to throw away their PCs and purchase new ones since they will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11 in 2025 when Windows 10 will no longer be supported or updated. Microsoft has backported the System label for pre-installed apps in the Start menu from Windows 11 to Windows 10. Release Preview Channel is now getting new Windows 11 and 10 builds
Microsoft just released three new builds to Insiders running Windows 11 and Windows 10 in the Release Preview channel. Windows 11 Build 22621.2066 (KB5028254) is available to those who have version 22H2 installed, while the original Windows 11 release users receive Windows 11 Build 22000.2243 (KB5028245). Finally, Windows 10 users are getting Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3269 (KB5028244).

Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.3154 is available in Release Preview
In addition to Beta and Dev channel updates for Windows 11, Microsoft has also released Windows 10 Build 19045.3154 (22H2) to insiders in the Release Preview channel. The KB5027293 update improves support for GB18030-2022 in several Simplified Chinese fonts, Microsoft Defender endpoint improvements, and many miscellaneous fixes. Windows 10 version 21H2 is no longer supported
Microsoft has ended support for Windows 10 version 21H2, also known as "November 2021 Update". Its consumer editions, Home and Pro, will no longer receive monthly cumulative updates with security fixes. For its customers, Microsoft will continue supporting Enterprise and Education editions of the OS until June 11, 2024.

Microsoft will discontinue Cortana starting this fall on Windows 11 and 10
Later this year, Microsoft will no longer provide support for Cortana on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
