Windows 10’s People app is getting a new look

Windows 10 People Bar Icon

Windows 10 comes with a built-in People app which is a powerful address book with social features. It allows you to stay in touch with all your friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances in one place. You can add your contacts and keep in touch with friends and family on Skype - all from a single app.

A new version of the People app is out to Windows Insiders on the Fast ring. Version 10.3.3241.0 of the People app comes with a redesigned user interface.

Now it has a three column UI, directly offering you a place to edit an email address and phone number if available. This change should be useful and time saving when it comes to searching for a contact by his or her email address instead of the name.

The selected contact now appears in a sidebar on the right, which comes with a summary of information, conversations, future events, and tips for combining duplicates.

There is a new a 'Filter Contact List' button and a new search interface which searches contacts dynamically.

The updated app is now available to Windows 10 Insiders in the Fast Ring, and should eventually come to all Windows 10 users sometime this year.
