A small update to Winaero Tweaker. I added the ability to turn on the new Windows 10X boot animation.
It automates the tweak option reviewed yesterday in this post:

I can’t get a clean copy anywhere! Every download gets scanned installed and then it pops up with a virus. I have tried 5 different sources of both 19 & 19.1. No joy. Please help!

Thank you for the continued, brilliant updates. Just a note on the “Open Last Active Window in Group” tweak, I think Winaero Tweaker does not prompt to log off / restart explorer.
I can’t see the new function menu, even not found at “Select visible tweaks”

I tried to do it on my main computer (not windows insider), didn’t work. I used a VM and now I am waiting for an update. it doesn’t work in the VM yet… i don’t know why.

Winaero Tweaker doesn’t follow user defined locations when dl’ing lockscreen images; it always dl to default location (c:\users\\desktop), even if you changed it to a different location and that location doesn’t exist anymore. (posted this elsewhere by mistake)

Ok, confirmed, bookmarks still broken for portable.
Restoring bookmarks restores random amounts in my testing, once it restored 2, the other it restored 3, etc etc.
There are several changes I make which don’t save when I export.
Changing colored title bar for some reason sets app’s to use light.
This is despite being able to change this manually without winaero and it doesnt flip app’s to use light.
A few other bugs but might be other symptom’s.

Hello and thanks for this app.
Can you provide a dark mode or at least make the app’s background darker and more eye-friendly (light tan, grey, green)? The only way I can use it without sizzling my eyes it to enable High Contrast themes until I close it (or turn my night-light app down almost to red.)
I also would love to see a larger font size or an option to increase it. I had to decrease my screen resolution to comfortably read the settings.

I reported this on twitter too, but here is a followup. Winaero Tweaker 0.19.1 and windows 10 build 21337 (and other insider builds), selcing to change system font sometimes works, but then gets stuck and breaks windows search (Winkey->type something->nothing happends), turning it back to “use system default” fixes it (winkey->type->search comes up and starts looking for what you need)
I dont have this issue in 19042 of win 10
In addition to my last comment, in windows 10 version 21337 (and likely many versions around it (windows 10 19042 is still working fine)), search breaks when changing “system font” from default to something else. I changed it to something else, signed out and back in and it worked with calibri. Tried this again with Arial and search broke, tried with Cardana and it stayed broken, tried with Baloo 2 and stayed broken. While broken another issue is settings will no longer open. There seems to be some sort of conflict with the font rendering, im not sure what build of windows 10 started it.
I also tried to apply the manual regedit to change the font in windows10 21337 and it didnt seem to take like it does in 19042. So clearly something changed.
Windows 10 21359 tested, and the problem isnt there now. Not sure what they are doing behind the scenes to make a change to system font break stuff. Too bad 21359 oddly has a ugly as hell icon set change.
Why is it so difficult to download this app? All I’m getting it Error 404 Forbidden. This is such a useful app, but a nightmare to download or update. Please make it easier to find working download links.

The tweak “Command Prompt as Administrator” does not work in Winaero Tweaker 0.19.1.0 under Windows 10 20H2. The window of Powershell opens for a moment and disappears without noticable action.
Modified the affected registry entries as I deleted ” -windowstyle hidden” from the entries.
Now the UAC asks to grant execution of the task and open Command Prompt with elevated rights.
Checking in after sending you my bookmarks file to hopefully fix portable usage.
Also wanted to ask about a feature to disable “news and interests” feature (completely, or at least so every new user doesnt have to right click and turn it off!).
