How To Disable the Command Prompt in Windows 10
Sometimes it can be useful to prevent users from accessing the classic Command Prompt app in Windows 10. E.g. if you are a system administrator, you may want to apply this restriction when your users should not use console apps and built-in tools. There are two ways to disable the command prompt in Windows 10.
A console in Windows 10 is the shell environment where you can run text-based console tools and utilities by typing commands. Its UI is very simple and does not have any buttons or graphical commands. Examples of the console are WSL, PowerShell, and the classic Command Prompt. In Windows 10, the command prompt was significantly updated. It has a LOT of new features which make it really useful. Starting with Windows 10 build 18272, Microsoft added the ability to zoom the console window using Ctrl + Mouse Wheel. This works in the good old command processor, cmd.exe, WSL, and PowerShell.
