In the upcoming Windows 10 version, currently referred to as "Redstone 5", Microsoft is going to rework the built-in tools for taking screenshots. The dedicated Snipping tool might be replaced with a new Screen Clipping feature, which appears to be deeply integrated with Action Center and the modern shell of Windows 10.

In short, you can use
- The Win+Print Screen hotkey
- Only the PrtScn (Print Screen) key
- The Alt+Print Screen keys
- The Snipping Tool application, which also has its own Win + Shift + S shortcut. Tip: You can also create a shortcut to capture a screen region in Windows 10.
The new clipping experience will replace the old Win32 and GDI-based Snipping Tool and take over the Win + Shift + S shortcut. Also, it can be launched with a special button in the Action Center. Here is how it looks.
When you click on the button (or press Win + Shift + S), the screen dims, and a static view of all displays is shown with an overlay of buttons at the top of the primary display. You can change the shape of the clipping tool currently in use (rectangular or free-form), take a full-screen capture, or exit the tool. In the current implementation, other traditional tools available in the Snipping Tool (Delay, Window snip, and ink color, etc) are missing.
Screen clips can be saved to the clipboard. There should be an option to save them to a folder, however, it is not implemented yet. Also, there are no integration with the Cloud Clipboard feature. According to the source, it might get integration with the Cortana instead.
As of this writing, the feature isn't widely available to anyone who has Windows 10 Build 17639 installed. It should appear in an upcoming Redstone 5 build.

Not fast and simple enough MS!
I use Greenshot,
PrtScrn/Select Area/Dropped on the Desktop… Done!
When enabled, this feature uses Win + Shift + S
Once you press these keys, you can directly select a region, and it will be copied to the clipboard.
Not so slow.
So microsoft wants a copy of everything we snip as well as everything we copy/paste.
I’ve already ditched the new sticky notes for the old version (You can get the old version over at WinAero) and I’ll do the same for the snipping tool if/when they turn it into yet another piece of spyware.
Hey MS……………..If it aint broke don’t fix it. Snipping tool works fine in as it is in Win10
