MiniTool Power Data Recovery program is very easy to use and has a simple interface, and any newbie can handle it without any issue. When you first launch this app you will find a straight forward window asking you to select the type of recovery you want like Undelete Recovery, Damaged Partition Recovery, Lost Partition Recovery, Digital Media Recovery (lets you recover data from USB, SD Cards and so on) and CD/DVD Recovery.

Many data recovery applications have problems creating preview images that you can clearly identify. However, Power Data Recovery does not offer a complete image of the files; it does provide a vertical image of the original file name. This was very helpful in our search for specific files.

Some features of Minitool Power Data Recovery are:
  • Recover deleted files and folders.
  • Recover data from damaged partition.
  • Recover data from inaccessible hard drive.
  • Recover data after re-partition.
  • Recover data from a crashed hard drive.
  • Recover data after Master Boot Record (MBR) corruption.
  • Recover data after reinstalling Windows.
  • Recover data from formatted partition with original path and filename.
  • Recover photos from memory card.
  • Recover music and video from iPod.
  • Recover data from quick formatted CD/DVD disk.
  • Recover data from an unfinalized DVD disk.
  • Recover files from scratched or defective CD and DVD disk.
  • Recover data from Windows Dynamic Disk Volume.

The only downside is that you can only recover 1GB of data if you are using the free version which is enough for a normal user. If you want to recover more files then you can always buy the commercial version. Now here’s the good news:
Thanks to MiniTool, we have 15 license codes of the personal version to give away to you, my dedicated readers!

  1. Conpetitions such as this annoys me, as it actively tries to push anyone who does not use Koobface into signing their soul and life away.
Why can’t you run this, here, on Winaero itself? Why are you trying to drive people to Koobface?

  2. I have “liked” the page for some time now. I visit your page not only for the apps, but for your fantastic blog with all of your tips. I think you should concentrate on the new Windows builds, but I know that other people may look forward to tips on other systems. Thank you very much for all of your hard work!

    Dave

  3. I like to visit your page periodically to get to know more awesome tricks and tips on Windows, sometimes I come back here looking for things I need.

I wouldn’t mind if you venture into iOS and Android but if you do, please do support Windows Phone too.

  4. I don’t like to repair Windows & Windows 8/8.1 has forced me into self-taught learning. There is absolutely no help from Windows or Microsoft & what may seem as a small repair can take you hours looking for a solution & if your lucky to find one can you trust it? It has been the worst experience with Windows I have ever had, the good thing I have learned is Microsoft & Windows with this version has finally shown their true colors. With trust worthy sites such as WinAreo, I can now stop repairing & start improving. For that I personally say thank you WinAreo, I hope you are here for many more.

  5. Well my friend, I get great benefit from the blog, apps and also the themes. Win7 is far from dead so you shouldn’t abandon it yet. (I personally miss Flip 3D the most so going back to 7 is a temptation at times!) I use and like iOS but Sailfish has my heart in the mobile space. I’ve ordered Jolla’s tablet but I’m stuck with my Nokia N9 phone until Jolla makes one with the AWS 1700/2100 band.

I hope you don’t get tired of doing this because it’s a priceless resource. :)

  6. Here‘s my entering:
    1. Already did long time ago!
    2. I visit this blog daily to find some of the latest news about upcoming OS Windows 10. I also enjoy learning new tweaks and finding tips to improve my Windows experience. In addition, I‘m always looking forward for the updates on your apps.
    3. I believe that making this blog not for Windows only would be a step further. New coverage could be a way to expand your activity. Same for the blog focus—Windows 7 and former OS’s are being replaced so why not to devote spare time on something what is even updated by the creators.

  7. Wow a giveaway after so many days at Winaero. I have used MiniTool’s Partition WIzard so I know their apps are good. I hope I win.

I come to Winaero for your blog. I always learn something new about Windows and it has been of great help when troubleshooting problems too.

  8. Liked. I found Winaero when I was searching how to disable the Ribbon and get rid of that God awful Metro UI. I like your tools very much. But I also enjoy reading the blog. Windows tips are good so I wouldn’t mind if you started covering some Android apps or tricks too.

  9. I already liked the page long time ago. I visit Winaero for the tweaking tools you have for Windows. They are so amazing. One of the first tools I found was TakeOwnershipEx. I downloaded almost all of them. I would like to see more power user tips at Winaero. And yes, iOS and Android articles are always welcome too. :)

  10. I love visiting Winaero because you provide awesome tips on your site. I don’t know how you find these hidden secrets but it is amazing work.

  11. This website is always a little step ahead with windows tips, that’s why i like to visit it every day or so.
Today the website offers a chance to win a superb piece of software for free, that’s great!, this software would be a great addition to anybody’s toolbox.

With Windows 10 around the corner i prefer to keep seeing windows tips, i wouldn’t mind other technologies tho.

Wish the website had a ‘RSS’ feed :-)

  12. Winaero is one of the best sites for Windows Users.

I really can’t thank you enough for all of the great software you’ve made and all tips for Windows. Each little improvement adds up to a much better experience overall in daily computing life.

I’m mostly using Windows 8.1 now so I think newer OS tips are best. Since Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will be the last version of Windows, then all Windows users will eventually end up there. Linux and Mac tips are ok but I won’t be using them. I got too bogged down maintaining both Mac and PC so I just decided to focus on PC and make it the best possible.

  13. Although Mini Tool (free edition) is great, it has some nag ads – I often prefer to use the free Paragon hard drive partition manager http://www.paragon-software.com/home/pm-express/
The only way it could be annoying, is that it does show the additional features you would get with the paid version grayed out. Not a big deal for me.

  14. I am most grateful for those simple little programs that are a huge help as well as lots of fun to work with (eg. WinXMenuEditor, PinTo8). All my machines are now operating on Windows 8.1, so my interest is for the blog and some trick/tips/apps that concerns W8.1 and Windows 10, when it comes out.
    Thank you!

  15. I happened to find out about this site dedicated programs for Windows, I like and what you are granting licenses for these programs to us that we can not buy them, thank you send me key on my e-mail . Thank
