Yet another new feature made its appearance in the Canary branch of Microsoft Edge. Starting in build 77.0.216.0, a set of text options are available for the Reading View in the Chromium-based Edge browser.

A new release of Edge Canary, build 77.0.216.0, comes with a set of text options for the Reading View. The options were already available in the classic Edge browser. In the Edge Chromium the following options are available.

  • The text size
  • The page theme.

These options can be enabled with a flag.

To Enable Reading View Text Options in Microsoft Edge Chromium

  1. Update the Edge Canary to build 77.0.216.0.
  2. Type edge://flags/#edge-reading-view-text-preference into the address bar of Edge.
  3. Enable the flag Microsoft Edge Reading View Text Preference by selecting Enabled from the drop down list next to the flag's name.
  4. Restart the Edge browser when prompted.
