Thanks to the changes made to the engine and the UI, the browser is blazingly fast. The user interface of the app is more responsive and it also starts up noticeably faster. The engine renders web pages much faster than it ever did in the Gecko era.

Tracking Protection Option in Menu

A new option in the main menu allows the user to toggle Tracking Protection in Firefox. Clicking on the Tracking Protection item in the menu will directly open the Tracking Protection in Options\Privacy & Security. There is also a toggle switch option visible next to the menu item name that allows the user to enable or disable the tracking protection feature directly.

When Tracking Protection is enabled, the browser blocks all known trackers. Also, it may speed up site loading time by 44% for many web sites. However, on certain web sites it may break the HTML layout. That’s why Mozilla has added the new option, allowing the user to quickly enable or disable tracking protection.

When tracking protection is enabled, the browser shows a special shield icon in the address bar.
