As you may already know, Microsoft Edge, the default web browser of Windows 10, is moving to a Chromium-compatible web engine in the Desktop version. Microsoft explains that the intention behind this move is to create better web compatibility for customers and less fragmentation for web developers. Microsoft has already made a number of contributions to the Chromium project, helping to port the project to Windows on ARM. The company promises to contribute more to the Chromium project.

Starting with the build 76.0.162.0, the main menu of the Chromium-based Edge  includes a new 'Close Microsoft Edge' command that terminates the browser and closes all the active tabs.

  1. Great! I actually wrote feedback requesting this. The button itself may be a minor feature, but its purpose is not. This button is essential if you wish that the browser would re-open all previously open Windows. If you close windows via “X”, then only the last closed window will be opened. Not being able to re-open all windows is a deal-breaker to me.
