Create All Tasks God Mode Toolbar in Windows 10

Control Panel Windows 10 Icon

In Windows 10, Microsoft is moving everything from the classic Control Panel to the Modern app called "Settings". It has already inherited many options which were exclusively available in the Control Panel. If you prefer using the classic Control panel, you may be aware of a hidden "All Tasks" applet that lists all Control Panel items in a single view. Here's how to create a taskbar toolbar for the All Tasks applet, so all Windows 10 settings will be one click away from your mouse pointer.There is a way to access God Mode in Windows 10 with a shell command. Press Win + R shortcut keys together on the keyboard, and type the following in the Run box: shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.

This will open the All Tasks folder, widely known as "God Mode". From there you can access all settings in Windows 10.

The taskbar in Windows 10 allows you to add toolbars. The following default toolbars are available out of the box:

Additionally, you can create new toolbars with the contents of a drive, folder, or network location of your choice.

  4. Type cmd.exe in the address bar to open a new command prompt at this location.
  5. Type the following command: attrib +r "All Tasks". After that, you'll get a Control Panel icon for the All Tasks folder in File Explorer.
  6. Close the command prompt.
  7. Now, right click on the taskbar and select Toolbar > New toolbar... from the context menu.
  8. Browse for the All Tasks folder and click on the Select folder button in the folder browser dialog.
  9. A new toolbar will be created, giving you fast access to all the administrative tasks in Windows 10.

You can further customize the toolbar by right-clicking on it and changing its options.

    1. Open the All Tasks/God Mode folder in your localized Windows 10. Then copy all the shortcuts to a folder. Point the taskbar toolbar to that folder.

      1. I am using Windows 10 Release Preview in ITALIAN
        I extracted All Tasks into a folder, I copied all shortcuts
        but everythings remains in ENGLISH

        using old method
        shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
        I get everythings in ITALIAN, but I am not able to create a menu bar
        any suggestions? thanks

  1. Just wondering If it is possible to change the menu background or the font color of the menu. I have a large amount of the 1903 update worked with a custom theme. I’m willing to send a email with a screen shot if it would help solve the problem. As of now the font is a light gray and a egg shell white background and well on a cheap laptop it is very hard to see what you are looking at.
