Windows 10 is getting a new welcome page

With Windows 10 Creators Update, the operating system is getting a new welcome page. When you create a new user account, this page is displayed and promotes a number of Microsoft products in the Edge browser.

After installation of Windows 10 build 15014, which is the most recent build released for Insiders on the Fast Ring, I added a new local account. Once the introduction screen disappeared and Windows 10 finished preparing the new user profile, the Edge browser opened automatically.

The following page was opened.

Currently it looks like the regular start page of Edge, however, an additional blue banner was visible.

It consists of three sections. The first one, "Make Microsoft Edge yours" comes with a link which shows how you can customize your browser.

The second part of the welcome page recommends the user to get Office 365.

As it was a local account, the last part of the banner invites the user to set up a Microsoft account.

It looks like this feature is new to Windows 10 build 15014. I have not seen it in previous builds of Windows 10.

It is interesting to see minor changes happening in Windows 10 Creators Update. Microsoft still have a lot of time to add more features to the operating system before the final release and roll out in April 2017.
