Hotkeys to clear download history and rotate PDF in Google Chrome

Google Chrome is very popular web browser, which comes with interesting features and extensions. Like any other browser, it has a set of useful shortcut keys. In the upcoming versions of Google Chrome, two additional useful keyboard shortcuts have been added. This change is available in the Canary build only at this moment, but it will appear in the stable builds in the near future. Let's take a closer look at what these hotkeys do.

The first shortcut is intended to clear the download history. Earlier, you were required to open the download list by pressing Ctrl+J to clear the download history. It contains a special "Clear all" button, which you needed to click. This is no longer required, all you need to do is just press the Alt + C shortcut keys together on the keyboard. Chrome will remove the download history immediately.

In addition to the above keyboard shortcut, the latest Canary build has added shortcuts for page rotation to the built-in PDF reader. Use the Ctrl +] shortcut to rotate the PDF document right 90 deg, in the clockwise direction, and Ctrl + [ to rotate the PDF left 90 deg, in the anti-clockwise direction.

These changes are minor, but they improve the usability of the Google Chrome browser. Keyboard shortcuts make your software more efficient and save your time.
