Black theme for Windows 8.1 with white titles

Here is a black theme for Windows 8.1 with white titlebar text created by deviantart user x0lis.

windows 8.1 white titlebar black themeWhile you can apply the black color of window frames using Personalization, Windows 8.1 does not allow you to change the font color, so it stays black and unreadable.

Using this visual style, you can get a white font in windows titles. To install this theme, follow these instructions: How to install and apply third party themes in Windows 8.1

Get this amazing visual style from the x0lis's deviantart gallery and don't forget to say 'thanks' for his great work.

  1. wow thanks for sharing this theme. I was looking for a black theme that keeps window titles readable for a long time and had thought there was no such theme possible :)

  2. Love thank you. i was using a theme by Mr. Grim but it has some problem when you right click a folder on the tasbar. i hope this one doesnt have this problem

  3. The download link seems to be missing in the deviantArt page. Anyone here who knows an alternative DL link?

      1. I just installed this Saturday and went to do it on another computer to find the button missing :(
Could Deviantart have a download limit maybe?

  4. For some reason uxstyle won’t install. I open it up, agree to the terms and conditions, press install, and finally I press yes when it asks me if I will allow the program to make changes to my computer. But then the uxstyle page opens up and says “something went wrong” with the log file attached. I’m running windows 8.1 so I don’t know what the problem is. If anyone has a solution I’d love to hear it.
